Kontakt: Nielsen Jana, tel.: 603 152 960, e-mail: jana@aveogroup.com Aveo Engineering Group, a global leader in aerospace and vehicle avionics sectors and producer of drones and rockets, is looking to add more talent to its Drone engineering team. We are looking to add talented technical people for many roles, including designing, developing and testing of our unique drones. Product development related to drone peripheral equipment and proposing new features and systems with innovative approach are a core function. Aveo has a significant team of mechanical, aeronautical, simulation, electronic and software skill sets. Our markets are growing exponentially and opportunities to have fun and put your imagination and skills to work are right here at Aveo. Principal Activities that need to be filled in part or as many as you are comfortable with by any applicant are: • Designing and testing UAV hardware, including airframes, sensors, and propulsion systems. • Developing and integrating flight control software and navigation systems for ground, water and airborne platforms. • Expertise in designing and integrating electronic components such as GPS, IMUs, and LIDAR sensors. Product development related to drone peripheral equipment. Proposing new features and systems. • Experience with drone-specific software frameworks like PX4, ArduPilot, or ROS (Robot Operating System). More broadly described: Proficiency in embedded systems and microcontrollers Embedded systems control every aspect of a drone’s operation, from motor speed to camera control. Remember it’s important to master embedded systems specifically tailored to drones.Drone engineers often work with microcontrollers like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or more specialized chips for tasks like flight control, sensor integration, and communication systems. A good base of programming skills in embedded systems, along with proficiency in languages such C and C++, is essential for creating custom drones or modifying existing systems. Knowledge of Sensors and Control Systems Aveo drones use a variety of our proprietary sensors along with industry standard ones to maintain stability, navigate, and understand their environment of operations. Control systems like PID (Proportional, Integral, Derivative) controllers are often used to ensure a drone stays stable and responsive. If you understand control theory then you can integrate systems for optimal performance. Understanding how to process sensor data in real-time and adjust flight parameters accordingly is vital. Integration of GPS/INS and cameras etc as well as other sensors is a main feature task Wireless Communication and Networking A strong understanding of wireless communication protocols like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, and cellular networks is essential. Electronics engineers should also familiarize themselves with long-range communication technologies like LTE, 5G, or satellite (Starlink) communication used for BVLOS and over-the-horizon applications. Power Systems and Battery Management Electronics engineers need to understand battery technology and power distribution in drones to ensure they can fly for extended periods. Drone engineers must be proficient in designing power systems that balance weight, efficiency, and longevity. This includes knowledge of battery management systems (BMS), voltage regulation, and power converters, as well as how to minimize power consumption while maintaining performance. Drone engineers need to be
